Le Bassin des Possibles
As part of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, EDF supports the 1,2,3 Nagez! program, which aims to teach 100,000 young people how to swim before the Games. This program was born from a major societal issue: safety in natural environments, where 90% of drownings occur...
To celebrate the grand finale of the *1,2,3 Nagez!* program, we organized a final event on June 22 and 23, 2024, on the Prado beach in Marseille. This event allowed 500 children to experience swimming in the sea in the *Bassin des Possibles*, a temporary pool.
Supervised by the Le Grand Bleu association and athletes from the EDF Team such as Alain Bernard, Marc-Antoine Olivier, Perrine Laffont, Charline Picon, and Théo de Ramecourt, the young participants received swimming lessons and first aid workshops. The Bassin des Possibles was also open to the public, offering a moment of sharing and raising awareness about safety in natural environments.
This event not only promoted access to sports for young people but also reinforced values of inclusivity and safety in the sea, while solidifying EDF and its athletes' role as committed players for a more sustainable future.
